The Reform-Reset project was based on the idea of creating something new from something old. This was achieved by deconstructing the original garment, a white shirt, and creating something completely different while taking advantage of some of the original features. This project started by experimenting with different folding techniques to gain an understanding of the variety of ways paper and material can be manipulated. I then completed an at home photoshoot of the different ways the original white shirt could be styled, I also looked at creating styles that reflected specific adjectives, including scruffy, sophisticated, youthful. The fashion designs are made out of paper to reflect the different folding techiniques I learnt previously, and the garment also reflects this as I included some origarmi structures on the final piece.
